It’s not long until the new year, and what better way to start the year as you mean to go on… by taking more photographs and trying new things of course!
Our latest 1 day course on the 25th January is going to be a great day for everyone. The day long shoot which will begin at 10am and continue until 5pm will be set in a proper, fully functional boxing gym, complete with ring!
The day will involve using the gym area to do some lifestyle and editorial type shots, with a healthy dose of no-nonsense lighting setups and techiniques that work. We’ll then move onto to some glamour style setups using the location to it’s best to provide different back-drops to the photographs that we’re taking. Moving on, we’ll then turn the heat up and get sweaty in the ring - getting some hard edgy action shots using a semi-professional boxer. The day promises to be a great day, and with two stunning models, a make-up artist and two experienced photographers to help set-up shots and guide you, a great place to learn from other people and enjoy a day taking photographs!
Our models for the days are Corrine Marie and NikkiH. Both Corrine and Nikki are hugely talented models, with Corrine being signed to Samantha Bond’s model agency last year. Nikki has worked as a ring girl previously so she should be able to show you the ropes on the day!

The outline of the day is as follows:
- 9.30-10.00am Arrival, tea/cofee
- 10.00am Overview of basic lighting techniques as a refresher and setup of lights for the first set of photographs.
- 10.30am First demonstration followed by individual opportunities to photograph.
- 11.30am 2nd demonstration followed by individual opportunities to photograph
- 12.30-1.00pm - Lunch (sandwiches are provided) plus tea and coffee
- 1.00pm-2.30pm - Set up of glamour styled photographs with both models
- 2.30 - 5.00 - Set up of action shots in the ring with boxer plus further oportunites to shoot the models.
- 5.30pm Review and Finish.
The location of the venue for the day is Tamworth which is in easy reach of the M42, M6 and M1 so it’s convienently central. A map of the area can be found below:
Lunch will be provided (please let us know of any dietary requirements when booking).
The full cost of the day is £100 with a 50% deposit payable to confirm your place on the course.
